Identify shaft help

I know it's a long shot, but I wanted to see if anyone recognized this ringwork.

McDermott. Just got in a replacement from them last month for a customer.

My guess would also be McDermott, as they did a lot of mid collar nickel rings. I'm thinking of something like their E or F series. But, I suspect this is a fairly common pattern.

Thanks guys. The ring looks brass to me. Very gradual taper to a 13mm tip. If I took off the ferrule and checked the tenon, I'd know for sure as McD does a half threaded tenon.
