This is a closeup of a shaft from a vintage cue I picked up a while back. The grain looks close to maple on one side, but doesn't seem to have any grain lines that run all the way through. Any ideas? I don't think it's ramin wood, could it be that "keilwood" stuff that Prather has started selling?
