if I win the lottery

a combination

If I were to venture a guess I would say; We currently have little representation because large sponsors like to spend there advertising funds on campaigns that reach more than the current middle class middle aged male demographic that I would argue makes up a mojority of current billiard fans?

Am I close?

When the BCA sold the leagues I think it was largely in response to the fact that they didn't have an effective way to offer anything to individuals for them to become members. So they couldn't pick up enough members to matter so they looked at the large Manufacturers and said ok those guys have the money....lets be a trade organization....

Im sure that it was an much easier course......not to mention its hard to satisfy a bunch of pool players.

That's what I think caused it.

If came into a bunch of money some how I would take a couple of million and say, OK here some cash, lets save pro pool. What would you do if it was you. I don't know how to run a business.
what a waste of money. It would take much more than a couple million dollars. You would need to pay people
to watch it.
Pool doesn't generate enough fan base to get exposure, which then takes away
potential sponsorship and then spirals into the toilet and flushed away with
all the hopes and dreams of the poolworld.
For a so-called sport trying to make a mark, seems to always take 3 steps
backwards when you think it might be progressing.
The Mosconi cup is the equivalent to a the annual Hop-Scotch tournament.

The only people that care are the few playing and not many more.
Do you think people are parading down the streets in Europe, flipping
cars and sceaming ''We won the Mosconi cup''?
Nope, cause the majority of the planet doesn't give a f--k about pool and that's that.

So if it was me, I'd have the biggest tournament of all and draw all the big
boys.My only stipulation would be that every player has to wear a
''I love Kevin Trudeau'' T-shirt.

Saving Pro Pool--got $10?

Seriously Folks,

Saving Professional Pool is a very doable thing. You need just one thing you likely will never get and that is cooperation from Amateur Pool Players. In my opinion that is why the BCA became a Trade/Merchant Association..

There are 45,000 members of this website and if all of them or even half of them were to ante up $10 that's a bunch of money. Just think about how many events with 10,000 added you can have with that.

The BCA couldn't figure out how to get and register enough players to satisfy their needs so they simply became a Merchant Association. In the end it falls back on the Amateur Players themselves for being unorganized. If one wanted to save Professional Pool it truly could be done with $10.

When you have scores of League Systems you get the house divided and everyone is scratching for a piece of the pie hoping to take things over. There is no common denominator, that pulls us all together if there were pool would be flourishing.

If you wonder where the Sponsors are gone.....you are supposed to be the Sponsors.
If you wonder where the Promoters have gone...you are supposed to be the Promoters.

Right now the Pool Players don't even love pool and if the organization to save it dropped straight out of the sky and said Here give me $10 each and I will save it.....most of you would think....ok I'll hold onto mine and let the other guy pay for it, so is it any wonder that Pool is where it is?
