If you could improve one thing about your game overnight...

I'd like to eliminate my aptitude for snatching defeat from the hands of victory.

Should say...clear all the garbage out of my head and just play. :bash:

What would you choose?

For me, I would have to say handling losing better. Whether it's how I react internally or externally, I know it's an area of my game that needs improvement.

I'm sure we've all had that opponent who after we beat comes up to us and gives us that dead fish handshake with their eyes on the ground. I know I can't win every time I play, so I would just like to be able to be more accepting of that in the moment, and not come across as such a sore loser to my opponents.

What about everyone else? What do you wish you could improve about your game overnight?

My # 1 reason for not running out more racks that I should now is missing easier shots that I get in line for. That's what I would love to get rid of, playing good position to get a shot I should make 90%+ of the time and missing it.

I can make 2-3 tough shots in a rack, then get a shot that is way easier than the ones I made, and miss it. My rack run-out percentage would quadruple if I can have that one easy miss back.

Definitely my break cos I break like a *****. Overall I'm a decent player (APA 7/8 and BCA 9) but even on my best break I only register about 17 mph on the Break Speed app. Anybody have a good tip on how to increase that?

Lighten your grip. Slow down backswing and transition. Focus on hitting exact center of the cue ball. Any deviation from center cue ball will decrease your break speed.

I'll be the (I think) third to champion speed control. My position play is normally strong but I wind up running a little long or coming up short of where I want to be.

straight in shots

I miss to many straight in shots that are a little over half table shots. I'm starting to think it is because I am throwing the object ball with unintended English. So maybe my stroke sucks. If I could get past that I would see a jump in my run outs.

Honestly, I wish everything about my game could be improved overnight, but if I had to pick just one thing...I would probably say my ability to see the lines and angles of a table layout because I feel if I didn't have to think or try so hard, everything else would be that much easier...including speed and consistency. It seems like consistency and speed were not a problem until I started becoming aware of position. Ignorance is bliss.

I'd love to be able to play more relaxed. Like when i'm playing/practicing by myself at home. I make so many more balls! I'm way more relaxed and carefree. If I could play like that with my opponent, I'd be lights out. I (obviously) think too much.
