Ah, an honorable mention for Padauk. I have some of this but have yet to use it. I look forward to giving it a try. I also have some Shedua that has tiger stripes that I have not tried but it looks like it might make a pretty handle if paired with the correct forearm wood. The woods you mentioned seem to be much loved. Ebony and Birdseye seem to be among almost everybody's favorites. I'm also surprised how many people like Purpleheart given that it's, obviously, purple but I like it too.

Paduak is one of the few woods that I have removed from my inventory early on because the dust is poison, it is brittle, bleeds excessively when finish is applied and turns brown very quickly. You will learn to hate it.

Thanks for the warning, I will be careful when I give it a try. I'm building a cue with Wenge right now and I think I'm crossing that one off my list. I'm trying to be more careful in the shop, I'm wearing respirators and dust masks much more often and using latex gloves whenever I work with adhesives but I think that most of the stuff we work with is bad for us. Lately I've been having problems with my eyelids becoming very itchy and a little swollen occasionally, I'm not sure exactly what it is but I think it's epoxy. I'm always using the gloves and respirator around epoxy now.

By the way, you make some beautiful cues. I like the fact that that you have pictures of the cues that you have made over the years, I enjoy looking at them. It gives your potential customers (and basement cue tinkerers like myself) a chance to see what the various woods look like in a cue and the opportunity to get an idea of what they might want. I love the inlaid shark. I also remember looking at your site once and saw the "snowflake" cue; I think that is one of the best looking cues that I have ever seen.

I'm totaly with you on this one, exept my brother likes it damn it, I'm making a set for Biker, kind of a HARLEY set. ORANGE & BLACK.
