That's Amazing To See In A Pile

I've never seen a pile of rings like this and the rings appear to be acrylic. As I looked closely at the photo, I swear I could spot differences in the gold color tones of some rings which made them appear darker and so in contrast, others appeared lighter, in color.

I'm basing that upon the degree to which the color darkness penetrates the rings visible from an overview of some of the rings. If I'm right, I'd be like a kid in the candy store.......Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.

I envision myself sitting on the sorting and arranging the rings by color and then by darkness & tone trying to figure out which were the best to select. Yup, I'd definitely try finding best colors and earmark them as the crème de la crème of the bunch.

p.s. Just curious if you might happen to know how much a 3 mm wide ring (gold) would actually weigh?

What you are seeing is camera flash and the result of the boring process. The center of the rings see heat from the boring tool. The rings are very consistent, as someone that is in the extrusion field, I am actually quite surprised in some of the colors achieved.

Look at Jay's palmer group photo in the facebook Palmer group. The silver is actually a "Chrome" silver, Balabushka used a silvery / grey as seen in the photos in a recent thread under "Balabushka". It's a chore to weed out the right materials.

We have a few surprises in store for this year... stay tuned...
