I read a post somewhere else that said you could add people to your ignore list and not see their post. How do you do that?

Go to their user page profile, and there is a pull down, with add to ignore list

I think I found the way to do this . I will have to test it out . I will add you to it and if I can't see your reply I will know it worked.

Go to User CP on your page.

The trouble with the ignore list tash, is you can find yourself missing out on a lot of stuff when reading a post. It can make a post disjointed, similar to a needle skipping on a record.
Better to just toughen up if you tend to be a little thin skinned. This forum can be intimidating, sometimes, but then it has it's rewards, too. Lord knows I've had my times here. I've been shot at and missed, and shit at and hit.

I have 2 people on my ignore list. makes the forum WAAAAY better, to not see there drivel. best thing you can do.

Yep, I agree it has to be better than arguing with someone that has an agenda... I want valid info and if you want to argue, I have no time for that. Discussion is great, but when the point is to argue and not discuss then it gets old...

Tom,
You can do a Search for Super Ignore and learn how to obliterate All
posts and quotes by selected members. Best of Luck to you.

Is it possible I can ignore myself on this site therefore making it impossible to have an argument with myself on here using the quote feature?

Deep thoughts by spimp....

I will give it a try....

Dang ... I just did that Search myself and the Link no longer works.
I had a bunch on Super Ignore but now I don't remember how to
use it and the Add-On from Firefox has been removed by them.
Regular Ignore will do most of the heavy lifting for you, though.

That's funny coming from you. I told you off last night because all you wanted to do is argue and not discuss. Guess it's easier to ignore the truth than face it. You will fit right in around here.

I wish the ignore feature had the option to block someone from posting in a thread you created... I'd like that

I was a mod on a forum that had that. It doesn't work as well as one may think. It turned into someone calling someone out but had them locked out of their threads so it turned into people creating threads to reply to other threads and would clog up the forum. Not to mention using 100's of alias's

I have enough self-control not to respond or skip over someone that is completely irrational, but I don't think I've ever put someone on ignore on the 100's of forums I've been on lol. Banning is a different subject though. ;)

Funny you can see where the person post on the last thread, you just don't get to see what non-sense they write... Awesome feature... I like!

I imagine that is possible, if implemented by the Mods.
The ability to block replies from those on your Ignore
List would be AWESOME !!!
