Ignoring works best

Recently I've noticed posts made by people that are clearly bullshit posts just trying to invoke arguements with everyone.

My question is, wouldn't it be better to just completely ignore these posts than to add fuel to the fire?
It's a lot easier and less time consuming to leave their posts with ZERO feedback and ZERO views than it is to actually get into a pissing contest with people who's sole interest is getting into pissing contests.
Obviously attention is what they need so deprive them of it.

I guess it's that inate feeling that we need to retaliate but that is exactly what keeps them coming back for more. Just something to think about and it would also make Mikes job easier since, instead of having to ban users, we do it ourselves.

Dave ~ Yes, that is the only way to go. If you ignore then you don't give them more to pick at.

There are several people who thrive at doing that on this board. I guess they have no life or their life is miserable so they need to build satisfaction by belittling others to give themselves satisfaction. Its a crazy world we live in, isn't it!

It is unfortunate that there are such people that have such low self esteem.

Actually you can only have two people on your ignore list at any given time... Did I just paint a bulls-eye on myself?

There's no reason for someone who doesn't like me or my posts to be exposed to me ever again. Ignore away, I encourage it. I don't want to hear what the haters have to say either.

Holy crap! I've been here for well over two years and my ignore list has reached a grand total of one.

I have been here for quite a while and have no one on my ignore list. I have used it for temporary relief, however, I always check out the the ignored. I am probably ignored by a lot of people. Hey, that's OK.
After experiencing the " wrath " of a couple of members thru out my AZ career, I have come to realize that we have a live comedy show going on. I love to smile and feel good. I get it here every day. Sometimes we get a new guy who seems to want a " I am right " thread. I pop in and see a little smoke. Well, you know what the Freak Brothers said. So I have a little hope :D . I only flame for fun. :cool: Unless you really screw me in some tangible way.

If you are putting people on it who don't like you or your attitude, why not just put EVERYONE on it????

Don't leave out his newest buddy SneakyPete who just signed on with a total post count of 1 that wants to know who to ignore. Why would he care at this point? Another ALIAS!
 
I ignore no one, as once in a while, someone who is Stupid, says something SMART..... :D

LOL. I often wonder how someone who is a complete idiot like this guy Tons of Fun (what a misnomer), acts like an idiot, talks like an idiot but never realizes he is an idiot. You figure at some point the person will realize, maybe I am not doing this right, but no, the only thing he ever realizes is everyone else is wrong. (He is the only one on here who is on my Complete Idiot list, the other couple that made it have long been banned.)

In all the poolhalls I frequent I have only 2 people on my complete idiot list. There is nothing in the world that will ever change them even though they are disliked or hated by most, but of course they are convinced of the rightness of their ways and everyone else is wrong.

I wish you could just ignore usless threads and not even have to look at them in the current list.

I keep saying we need a "ignore thread" button.

Purdman, your assesment of yourself is a mirror image of me. Interestingly enough, the few that I have put on ignore either end up banned or basically fall off the face of the earth when the flame threads get tiresome for most of us and the idiot, who finally isn't getting all the attention takes their shit elsewhere. :rolleyes:

psst, hey Wayne... ever hear the term "ignorance is bliss"???? No truer words have ever been spoken when speaking of ignorant people. ;)
