It's actually been enjoyable to watch. The girl that's beating everyone so far can play pretty good... much better than the ballbangers from previous shows.

I agree, I actually enjoyed it tonight.

tonight's show

Yes, it was fun tonight. That guy dug his popularity grave when he was calling Ewa out to gamble! They really should have played that one the first week. The promotional matchup for LA is scheduled coming this Friday, August 5th for us west coast players over here. I will be there representing just because they wanted one of the prior contestants to do promotional stuff. Any az'ers coming in I would love for you to say hello...

I really hated last week's show. This one was alot of fun.

I've watched it twice. The first episode had this black fellow that could play pretty well. The guy in the cowboy hat ended up winning and he couldn't shoot a lick. Neither could the woman.

The second episode, everyone sucked.

I have no idea. In the first thread about the first show someone posted a link to the gsn forums... someone there probably mentioned her name. She was asian and had a pretty darn good game. The blonde had a decent game too but the asian was better imo.

Her name is Melinda Huang. She lives in LA. She played her first pro event this year at the Viejas event, after winning a qualifer in December in Phoenix. She is quite a little fireball if you know her personally. The other girl also lives in LA and plays in the league there I think either with Melinda, or out of the same place. That show taped the same day mine did, and that guy Chris was even talking it up that morning! He was telling me how good he was, how one of my friends from Texas who plays REALLY good has no shot against him. He is also from what I understand roommates, or at least a close frined with my friend Ernesto that lives in Houston. Ernesto I think used to work at/manage a Click's there. It would be neat if anyone reading from Texas could actually input wether this guy plays good at all, and just seriously dogged it.

What is with giving the break away?? No matter if it is ball in hand on a miss or no ball pocketed!! Couldn't believe that!

Never heard of him... obviously he isn't a great tournament player, google came back with nothing on him....

I think he was fibbing to you about his abilities...

I watched this one and last weeks as well and both were better than the
first one.
In this one I know Melinda nd Vicki so that made it a little more interesting.
Melinda plays a good deal better than Vicki overall but that does not matter too much in this format. BTW-girlwon1 plays good as well. Better than Melinda and I think she said she went out quickly.
Sal the host and Ewa even seemed more lively in this one and the overall
show was better.
I was surprised to see the 2 girls on one show. It looks like the shows are trying to be politically correct.

Oddly I like it when they play the stupid little games inbetween the 9 ball
games. Perks my interest for some reason.
I was glad to see someone I know win and I hope Melinda and Vicki had some sort of deal cut.

BTW-- I was told that this friday there will be tryouts for the next season
in Brentwood Ca. I would guess at Q's.

Tina,

It seems like not too many of the guys could play well (except for our local guy Joey Landi) but alot of the girls that qualified play good (you, Melinda, Julie Melman). Makes me wonder if the show's producers wanted to seed the field with attractive women that play well. On the flip side, it seemed like the show wasn't looking for guys that played good. I know it sounds like sour grapes (it really isn't!), but fact is fact.

You know other than the guys on my own show, and seeing what I have seen already, I might agree with you a bit. However, I do not know everyone they picked, so I would have to see what the caliber is on the upcoming shows for the men. I have to say, they did pick many women like the bitchcuda gal in the first one. The girl on my show also played like that, at best an APA 4. There seems to be a good sprinkling of all levels really. I liked to see this format played at least at Melinda's playing level or better for sure. I liked watching that rail shot when she had the first opportunity to win it all. I know that she is favorite to make it, but might dog it. Watching people like bitchcuda play, I can expect her to dog it first, and so I didnt watch with as much intensity as I did Melinda's show.

Thanks for the insight, T. You'll have to come back here and let us know when your show airs.

I loved it when Melinda got down on the 7 (I think it was the 7) and she had to shoot lefty but before doing so, she said, "I'll bet $500 that I can make this shooting lefty." That was supreme. :D
