I'm enjoying this one

It features Irving Crane and many others but the aspect that I am enjoying is the announcer. He makes pool sound like it is the most exciting thing on earth. He uses a totally different vehicle to get there but his attitude reminds me of Sid Waddell.

Jerry Forsyth, I want to congratulate you & your assistants for this great new website... it's as close to a pro-sport website as anything I've seen.. It's got action, it's got color & there is something about POOL for any & every one.

Your comments about the announcers or MC's at a match today (no offense intended), may be a good observation. I too think they may be coming up short, maybe "too sterile" is a good description. The announcer in those days was the "connect the dots & color in the lines" painter kinda guy, that added the spice to the visuals of that day & age". His job was to create the enjoyment & excitement in order to create a return audience.

In some ways, that is the job for the owner of the Pool Rooms & Tournament Directors of today.

In our Pool Room, we show football, soccer & everything but Pool Matches on Giant Screen TVs (I thought we were selling POOL). Maybe even a theater type situation would be great, so the spectators could get enjoy some excitement from a great steamed POOL match.... with entertaining MCs

Too many facets of this idea.... Good Luck to all.

We now have a Cue Maker at our Pool Room, he's great guy & a good craftsman. That was a good addition.
