I have been thinking about a new playing cue for a while now. I am an unusual guy, because I have little interest in designing my own cue.

So I just keep an eye on the unfinished stuff on the wall of my cuemaker, and I figured something would grab me one day when I saw it.

Last night I was at Dan Trogdons shop picking up my jumper, which he had replaced the steel pin with a G-10 pin for me.

I'm looking at the cues in progress hanging on the wall, and this sneaky catches my eye.

I ask about it, and it isn't being made for anyone in particular, just something he wanted to put together because he likes to keep some sneakies on the rack because people buy them.

It's a full splice blank of course, with some of the darkest, most beautifully figured Cocobolo I have ever seen, and it has 4 spear shaped Ivory inlays in the points. It's a very simple and classic design. And I LOVE it.

Needless to say, It's now being made specifically for me.

I can hardly wait to get my hands on it.

6 weeks until the end of leagues, when I can pay the balance on the cue. I guess playing in BCA league is going to pay off well for me this session.

Your cue was designed to do but one thing, to serve you. You will direct it's every move and your cue will give it's all in your defense. It's devotion to you knows no bounds. As it silently sits in it's leather shrouded case, awaiting the call to arms, it will matter not whether the battle was won or lost, but only that it aquitted itself honorably, and unselfishly in your behalf.
Love, thy name is cue.
Jeez. I gotta quit taking these medications so early in the morning.

LMAO rep for that.

Hope you enjoy it every bit as much as you're imagining it now! Congrats.

Me too. I've got a ~$500 LD-shaft-cue on order. I'm even more excited now as a few days ago some jerks broke into my car and nicked my current player (worth ~$150) and my GPS.

An old Andy Capp comic strip said it well. When Andy wins, it his trusty cue. When he loses, it's a worthless piece of firewood.
