Well it depends on where you're starting but ....
Joe Tucker at Snookers in Providence is very good,
Bob LeBlank in Waltham (www.poollessons.net) I had good luck with,
I've heard Ron Tocci in Nashua, NH is good,
Ken Teuksbury in Concord, NH,

What exactly are you looking for and in what area of boston? I'm interested and I am in Southern NH. I only help out those willing to practice hard on their own though.

efrikey what do you have to offer? i am an apa levled 6 and i am looking to improve my game at most costs....i am located in Lowell, MA and would be interested to hear what you have to offer...feel free to pm me or get back to me in any way...thanks again

How much do you practice? play with friends? gamble? play in tournaments?and how long have you been at this level? what do you currently use as teaching tools? watching others and then practicing, books, tapes, instructor, etc.

Oh, and where do you normally play out of?

Apparently not Jarrod Clowery

I practice every chance i have available to me. I have yet to do much gambling seeing that I usualy play with my close friends. I have been a ranked 6 in the apa for over the past year. I try to use whatever I can as teaching tools. I watch the events on espn. I have purchased a few books in the past. I print out drills online and work them. I think I have reached a level where I need to start playing more advanced players to keep moving forward in my progression. I am always looking to improve and get my game to a higher level. I usually play at a private club in Lowell called the passe temps club. It is an old french club. They have a 9ft gold crown that is free to play on. I use the free table time to my advantage as much as possible. I also sometimes go to country club usa to run a few racks. Where in southern NH are you located, and what level of play are you?

I mean no offense but is Tony a good teacher?
Just because you can play lights out pool doesn't necessarily mean you can teach others to.

Dave

I use to be a strong 7 in the APA. I could hold my own of the Joss tour, but time and money and family keep me from trying it out. I also feel that the overall skill level of a player isn't the most important factor in picking a teacher/instructor, but you certainly want one who is/was a better player than you and can keep you improving and help you with your weaknesses.

I can certainly help you determine your weaknesses and turn them into strengths assuming poor eyesight doesn't hold you back.

My only hold up with helping you is the distance between myself and you and the fact that there isn't any pool halls between Lowell and Hampton to my knowlege.

Ask Liljon he could tell you about a great player in the boston area. ;)
This player can also tell you about the finer points of personal finance. :D
