I've been there (not recently) but it's a friendly place, they used to look after their tables and even run a weekly handicapped 9 ball competition, but the greatest thing about Slicks is that they have (unofficially) the biggest darn pockets in Europe, even if you're playing bad YOU WILL DISH!!! Enjoy!

Never been there, but according to Google Trends, they have the top 9 cities that search for billiards. I would say there is a lot of interest in the game there. Here is the list:

Yay, I live in Leeds! It's a great play to play, You can even normally find someone to play pool with! Only downside is pool is so expensive. The northern is one of the greatest places to play in my opinion. http://www.northernsnookercentre.co.uk/index.htm

If I were going to UK, I'd try to find a place with the very best snooker players. No disrespect, but most talented cuemen there still play snooker and it's #1 cuesport there. Can't see the point of going to UK to play 9ball which you already have at home (unless you are a pro pool player). I've watched plenty of top level snooker, but only on tv, never in person...

I guess that must be because of the eleventy thousand snooker halls we've got here.

In London probably the best place to go would be Riley's victoria. Good players in there and usually a bit of action.

Yeah Rileys Victoria is your best bet, even if you don't wanna play you could still watch some top pro's in action to name a few Raj Hundel, Imran Majid, Tony Drago and Riko Diks all play in Victoria often..but like anything in London expect to pay more than usual..have a good time and bring a coat and umbrella!
