im keeping my new cloth spotless and clean

I don’t worry about it.. I’m not going to find those perfect conditions at the places I play so I don’t want perfect conditions when I practice at home.

I buy this but I also buy the argument that playing on perfect equipment allows you to develop a consistency you wouldn’t otherwise get, Some of the world’s best grew up on perfect equipment, while others had to make do with the other end of the spectrum. Either way, as long as you make it work for you then you are probably doing the right thing. Keeping your cloth spotless and clean is not easy when you have a life that gets in the way and also want to maximise your practice time. I’m halfway there but kudos to anyone who goes the whole hog.

Knew a girl who got a new table. Had two cats. I told her, you might think about getting a cover sooner than later. She tells me, oh it'll be fine. Within two weeks, cat piss on the table. Don't know what she tried to clean it with, but pulled half the color out. Cloth was trashed.
Cat pissed on the table? That would be a capital offense in my pool room....the cat would have been taken on a one-way trip out to the woods.

I vacuum my table. I use blue magic chalk (wine colored Simonis860 on a 9ft GC2), and very little chalk gets on the table....I hardly ever have to clean it. I do keep the table covered when not in use.
