I'm new to ebay, same cue listed by 3 different people for 3 different prices, what does it mean?

From my understanding its ADAM hellstetter GB from Japan which is exactly what I was looking for...but ok ill pass on it, unless someone here knows one of these usernames maybe he tries to sell this ADAM balabushka for best price. who knows.
See my other post on what vintage Adam Balabushka it is. If it matters to you, that photo is from the “made in Japan” years that were actually built in China. The pin ia distinct for that era. Not that they play bad or anything. As far as I have researched, there were two distinct eras for Adam Japan Balabushka (Japan and then China), and one (current) era of Balabuhska Cue Company’s Balabushka Signature cues . The latter have nothing to do with Adam Japan.

The item in question is for an Adam Balabushka, built for Adam Japan made mostly in Universal Cue in China from 2004-2011 or so. I have one. Plays great. Feels great. Onw of the most solid cues I own. The prices are within what you might expect for this vintage ($500-$900).
Oh I didn’t want those that are made in china. I wanted the ones that were made in the Japan period

I would stay away from that, the lowest price, says out of stock.so someone got taken in!
Judging by condition that price is still a bit high.

It is not uncommon. I see it all the time with guitars on Ebay mostly out of Japan. Having asked about it in a guitar forum on Facebook, it appears there is nothing nefarious about selling that way. I understand that a guitar is in a shop and a few different people will put it on Ebay and when it sells then they will buy it from the shop and ship it making some profit over the price in the shop. Others will cancel their ads and refund any money if needed to. Some people in the forum where I asked about it had bought guitars that way and had no issues. Usually the guitars I have seen were priced from about $1000 to $2000 or thereabouts.
I wouldn't care to buy in that fashion but like pool cues I wouldn't care to buy a guitar I can't get my hands on first anyway.

I would pass just because of the multiple listings at wildly different prices. But even with a single listing I would still pass due to the cue's condition. The cue is well used but not well cared for. The wrap is filthy, and the shaft and ferrule show a lot of chalk residue and discoloration from use. If I wanted that model production Balabushka I would hold out for new cue, or one in much better condition than this one.

As you probably know, the Helmstetter company bought the rights to the Balabuska name, and makes a line of production cues under that name overseas, maybe Japan. There's a video on the net showing the workshop where they are made, I forget where. Some of that line are nice looking, in an old school style. I've never used one, but with that steel joint and traditional wood shaft I imagine it has a stiff hit with plenty of deflection.

The problem with those old-school cues is that they are old school. Like it or not, even production cues and shafts from reputable manufacturers have advanced in quality and playability in recent years. But still, best players in the world used cues made somewhat to that standard until only a few years ago when low deflection shafts became the favorites. In the early 70s I played with a guy who owned and played with an original Bushka, and his cue was the envy of the poolroom.
