I'm searching for a "masse" cue. Do anyone of you know the best out there?

I said: "Here kitty, kitty". Got this frown.

Ned Morris is going to build one for me but it will take a while. I want it now! Does anyone know of a great one that I can buy?

ive been around a long time. I masse the cue ball using my shooting cue. How does a masse cue differ?
A masse cue is generally heavier, shorter and with a larger tip. I have masse shafts that I use with a normal butt. I think they are around 14mm. Total length is 50 inches or so. For nearly vertical masses a shorter cue is much easier to use.

I appreciate your response. Where can one get a "Masse" shaft? I have plenty of butts around.

Any cue maker should be able to make one from a regular shaft or brand new. I don't think perfect wood is required. If you want to try 14mm, that may be larger than most normal shafts at the 50-inch point.

I don't know how available it is, but Florian, the great trick shot artist, uses a pretty thick carbon fiber shaft for a masse cue, and I believe it is shorter than standard.

Years ago a common sign on the walls of pool halls stated “No Masse Or Jump Shots”. I haven’t seen one in today’s venues. They’ve disappeared much like the wire beads used to keep score.

Action cues actually sells a masse cue. Jacoby used to sell a masse shaft for the heavy hitter break butt. Abram Diaz out of San Diego specializes in making masse cues. You could find him on facebook. He made mine and its great. The Eric Yow Masse cue can be found on Ebay if I am not mistaken.

Look for a Eric Yow Masse cue. Cost about $250 and comes with 2 shafts.
No sense spending $1500 for a cue that you will be spending a few hours with and then storing it.
