ive been around a long time. I masse the cue ball using my shooting cue. How does a masse cue differ?Ned Morris is going to build one for me but it will take a while. I want it now! Does anyone know of a great one that I can buy?
A masse cue is generally heavier, shorter and with a larger tip. I have masse shafts that I use with a normal butt. I think they are around 14mm. Total length is 50 inches or so. For nearly vertical masses a shorter cue is much easier to use.ive been around a long time. I masse the cue ball using my shooting cue. How does a masse cue differ?
I appreciate your response. Where can one get a "Masse" shaft? I have plenty of butts around.A masse cue is generally heavier, shorter and with a larger tip. Any cue maker should be able to make one from a regular shaft or brand new. I don't think perfect wood is required. If you want to try 14mm, that may be larger than most normal shafts at the 50-inch point.I appreciate your response. Where can one get a "Masse" shaft? I have plenty of butts around.
Years ago a common sign on the walls of pool halls stated “No Masse Or Jump Shots”. I haven’t seen one in today’s venues. They’ve disappeared much like the wire beads used to keep score.A masse cue is generally heavier, shorter and with a larger tip. I have masse shafts that I use with a normal butt.
