I'm torn on which jump cue

I really like the idea of a 3pc jump cue (not jump/break) like the short 3pc jacoby or the OB pro lift. I'm torn between these two but unaware if any other manufacturer offers this type design.

I love my Jacoby jump cue, it's probably the easiest to jump cue I've ever tried. I haven't used the OB but I have used a Lomax and a Predator Air....prefer my Jacoby.

I do however pair it with a Gilbert jump break and for long jumps with plenty of room before the obsticting ball I actually like my Gilbert...but it can't get jo and over in tight situations like my Jacoby.

I'm using the 3 piece OB Lift with a White Diamond tip. It jumps very well. Lomax jump cues are supposed to be the best but you will spend $400 or so to get one.

I love the Pechauer jump cue.
It's the best - for me - of all the jump cues I tried when I was shopping around. And I tried a lot.
Really easy to jump with this thing. Long distance or short.

I have the two piece OB Lift and really like it. It is pretty light but not too light so it jumps well short and long. The dymondwood jump cues like the Jumping Jax jump super easy but I don't think they are light enough to jump really close well. It may just be me but I've heard others say the same thing. Good luck!

I bought the Predator Air II last year and I'm really enjoying. I'm not a big predator fan, but this thing makes jumping so damn easy! The added length is a bonus for longer jump shots and comfort.

I have a 3pc Jumping Jax if interested $235 shipped.
Jumping is effortless.

i've had my lift pro for like 2 years now and i love it. everyone i've let borrow it has commented on how easily it jumps. what i like is how much control it lets me jump with. gotta say that thing has kept me in and won me quite a few matches. imo it's the best production jump cue on the market by a long shot. i love that it still feels like you're using a pool cue unlike the feel of the predator air.

Thanks for all the replies, even the private ones. I ended up purchasing the OB pro, my my billiards supplier wanted to see one himself so I'm getting it at his cost. Which I promised him I would not leak to anyone. Thanks again

The Jacoby 3-pc jumpers are high-performing at all types of jump shots, and perform with more ease than alot of other jumpers. Well made, look nice, decent price point.

Most of the folks that have tried mine end up jumping over the blocker and the object ball that they're trying to hit with their first few attempts.

Hanshew Jump Cues

I will throw the handshew jump cue in the mix and I stopped by his shop yesterday to pick up a tip and he is just finishing a fresh batch. I have been using for 5 or 6 years, they are hard to beat.

Any other suggestions? I am at the SBE. Of course OB doesn't have any LIFT Pro's. May have some delivered today. Some booths sell jump cues but no table to test. Friend had a lift and it seemed to jump easier then the Jacoby.

I bought my jump cue off ebay for $30 over 10 years ago.

To this day I have not tried another cue that jumps better that it!

Just try out a few (If you are already ok at jumping) and see what works best for you.

Tip

I think there are many good jump cues out there and each shooter has to find "their" jump cue, just like they have to find "their" shaft. I also think the tip is so important.

I quit using G-10 for a jump tip as it marks the cue ball, I like the Samsara and it is good for breaking.

I bought a jumper from a buddy and it is 41" long with a purple heart shaft and a really nice curly maple butt. Some kind of a white ferrule and I think a White Diamond tip, it jumps good.

"Joey in Cali" put a phenolic tip/ferrule on a Dymonwood shaft I have for my Pat Diviney jump/break and I jump better with it then any jumper I have used. I'm not real accurate, but I can jump!
