Importance of table condition

I finally know why playing 14.1 has been so frustrating for so long. Balls always stick together.

I found a room around my place last night (just moved) with well kept cloth and tables. The pack spread nicely upon contact. I've always wondered why I can't get the balls to spread like those in the videos. Now I know. Doesn't hurt that the pockets are set up nicely.

I'm getting back into 14.1!

Cleaner balls and clean fast cloth cause the balls to open up beautifully on break shots, though practicing on poorer conditions does give you the advantage of working on your secondary break shots.

It's also worth noting that dirty equipment means that you will probably get a kick (or skid, depending on where you are from) at some point during a long run, so you just have to hope it doesn't affect you too adversely. I had one today, but thankfully the ball went into the pocket and I was left in an even better position than I would have been without it lol.
