I had a friend of mine put a phenolic tip on my break cue and now I am wonderdering what took me so long!!! Don't mess with anything else. BTW it turns a so so break cue into a hell of a jumper also! Well worth it!

Mine is the black one made around 2002. (I believe it is the one just before yours) It came with a hard milkdud leather. But with the phenolic it works great!Snapshot9 said:I bought a J&J Break/jump cue off Ebay for $27.00
($44.90 with shipping and ins), and I am still amazed
by the quality of it for the money, even at its retail
selling price. Mine is normal 4 pointer with Palmwood
forearm with quick release joints. It has the phenolic
tip, and the 1/2" break/jump ferrule on it.
It breaks good (has that snap when it hits), and jumps
good too, although I am still working on proper aim with
the phenolic tip on jumps.
If I had to put a value on this cue, I would say about $225.
