In a Slump?

I was in a slump for about 5 to 6 weeks. I couldn't hit much that was the least bit difficult. I was disgusted with myself and my performance.

I got out a book I have that was written by Gerry Kanov and Shari Stauch. The book is Pool Players Edge. I had read it before but I decided to re-read it starting right from the beginning basics. It really helped to review the info. that I already know but just didn't apply to my game

Thanks to reading this book for the second time, it really put me back into my game.:D

I've felt like I've been in a slump for most of this year, I finally called on some professional help from Scott Lee to pull me out of mine. It seems to have been exactly what I needed.

One thing I've learned this year is, there are many kinds of slumps. For a few weeks, I couldn't miss a shot when I could see the ball and the pocket, I just couldn't manage to see the ball and pocket more then 2 to 4 times in a row  . I guess I was in a position slump more then a shooting slump. Either way, it was costing me a lot of games.

I'm glad you are coming out of yours, they are no fun.

Most slumps are a result of a break down in fundamentals, especially for amateurs. So it is always advisable to go back to the basics if you feel one coming on. This is true of all physical activities not just pool.

I am in a slump the last few day with server allergies, to the point when I try and get down on a shot, I become dizzy, and lite headed. Allergy SEASON will soon be over, but not too quick for my liking.

MinoInADixeCup...The really exciting thing, now that you're developing a repeatable SOP, will be your ability to self-diagnose mistakes you will make, and correct them immediately, on your next turn at the table. That means a "slump" only has to last ONE SHOT! :D
