In reviewing billiards movies for my blog "8 ball on the Silver Screen," I've repeatedly heard the comment that pool movies need to stop portraying pool players as hustlers. A more positive, three-dimensional, realistic portrayal is needed. I just reviewed the 2007 movie "Turn the River" in which the lead character, Kailey, is more of an anti-hustler (i.e., someone who ultimately only hustles for a noble purpose rather than personal gain).

What is people's reaction? Is this portrayal any better?
Are there any pool movies that you feel effectively break the stereotype?
