uni-loc claims to have the most accurate and best joint system. i never tried it. is there a difference? i'd like to hear from all of you especially drivemaker.

Unilock

I have heard from some players that they get loose over time. I had it on my predator I used to use, and it did seem to get looser after I had had it for awhile, and I had to retighten sometimes during play.

I would like to hear what some cue makers say because the ones I know do not use them.

Thanks for bringing it up.<G>

Its quick, but its true that you may have to tighten it during play. I put a tip on my buddy's new P2 and he complained for about an hour that I did a crapola job because it was buzzing. Turns out the joint needed an ever so slight tightening...
While the quickness of the joint is cool, I'm not sold. I've also noticed them on the lower priced, "made in China" production cues, so they've lost the status they had when they were mainly a Predator feature.
Now my Blud, for instance, takes a few more seconds to screw together but rattle loose during play? Forget it. The joint is tight as a drum and is steel to wood, so friction makes it feel like a one piece.

I have been using a Uniloc (my first steel joint ever), it works very well and has never needed to be retightened once I snap it together. Nice solid hit, which is more than I can say for a lot of steel jointed cues.
