OK, I'm here, someone let me know where to play. Again, if anyone wants to meet somewhere please respond. I'm staying near the airport.

btw, I didn't get to play in Edmonton because the flight was delayed.

There's a place called "Guys & Dolls" that has pretty good equipment. Main St. and Broadway, I believe. It was the only place I could find with fast cloth and decent tables, but I didn't commit enough time for a comprehensive search of poolhalls.
Good luck.

eech pooey pooey, didn't like vancouver, just another big filthy city.
Maybe it was the pan handlers the minute we got off the bus, hope you have a better time than we did.

Which Vancouver? Should you be in Vancouver, Washington State, USA?

Ask around for "Atwell"...but you might find more game than you wanted.

I like this city a lot. I think it's one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been to, what a skyline.

I went to Guys and Dolls (I thought I was being set up based on the name but someone else PM'd me the same suggestion so I tried it out). Nice tables. I played in the tournament, they rated me a B+ which seemed about right. I didn't get very far but played pretty well overall. I played a local guy some 1P and won a bit. I don't think he played much 1P.

Thanks for the tip.

Hi Alex,
I am glad to hear you made it out there, it is in my opinion the best pool hall in town.
There is a place in Richmond, called Q-1--it is on No.3 road and just off Cambie. There is a bus stop very close by. If it is close to your hotel, you may want to check it out. You will not find any action there, it is just a nice clean place for the recreational players.
I am sorry I could not make it out there, I am so very back up with works here at the shop today. I really wish I could be there. :( I am just about to finish my work today now.
There is a very big Asian population here in Vancouver, and a few snooker halls in Richmond because of that.:)
O, there is no 1 hole action here usually. A few guys play that game, but they are not really that good compared to the good players I have seen from the US.
9 Ball, and may be some 8 ball are the main games for action. I hardly ever see any 10 ball, and have never seen any one match up on 14.1 in Vancouver.
I hope you have a good time here.
Take care,
Richard

Historically Canada is a land of snooker halls that have slowly evolved (partially or sometimes fully) into pool halls. Snooker is not correlated to any ethnic group and their population density from what I've seen across this great country.

I hope you have a good time in Vancouver Alex, it's one of Canada's finest cities regardless of some reports of eech pooey pooey.

Dave

Your welcome.
It is a beautiful city. Hope you had a chance to enjoy some of the Chinese food while you were out there. Vancouver BC has the best in North America.
