Indianapolis area pool halls?

Heading for work to Nobleseville IN, about 40 mins N from Indy, Brickyard looks OK but they seem to only have 7 footers from the few mentions I see of the tables there. Is that the only place worth visiting? My trips are usually Sun-Wed if anyone knows of any weekly tournaments then.

Indy is dead for tournaments. Big tables at Executive 52nd Keystone. Brickyard has some big tables and is the best overall pool hall.
John Waynes is a long drive from where you will be, but has 2 big tables and 30? bar tables.
There really isn't much here, especially for how big a city we are.
 
I haven't been there in 8 or 10 years, but when I went to Executive it was a legit pool hall. It wasn't in the least bit fancy but there was an active golf game on the snooker table, they had a really nice 5 x 10, and plenty of other 9 footers.

Thanks, Lansing was the same way for MI, for the capital it was oddly devoid of any real pool halls, just a few places with a few 7 footers. The main place to go was a bowling alley with 4 Valley tables (pretty well setup however), and they have one more place opened recently with a handful of 7' Diamonds but for 9 footers had to travel an hour or more toward Detroit.

I'll probably end up heading to Brickyard when there.

Not sure what you are looking to do besides a tournament, but I have a bar table and a 9ft at the house if you want to play some one pocket.
Or I can show you some good spots to eat at.

I like going to new places and meeting the players in the area, usually a tournament is a convenient place to do that and check out the locals as well as compete a bit. One pocket is not my game though, I just play the "normal" games hehe. Good spots to eat is always good also :) I'll PM you my #, I'll be free probably every day in the evenings Mon-Th.
 
Grew up there but didn't play pool until I left so helpful to see the posts. I researched and Kokomo has a place called Spanky's, the Facebook page says there is a 9ft. Diamond, snooker and billiard table. It's about 40 min. in the other direction from Indy. Let's see if anybody here knows the place...

I’ll try and remember you have a 9’er and play 1P, if I ever get to Indy again.

Looks like Brickyard is the best place, Kips Pub has a bunch of 7' Diamonds but from the picture looks like they just stuck them in randomly. No idea how anyone can play on the middle tables LOL Edit.. I just called them and all the tables are coin-op, 1.50 a game. Don't think I remember ever seeing a place with that many tables that was all coin op.

I sent there, it was actually very nice. Two tight 9 ft Diamond tables, rest look to be all 7 foot Diamonds. Cost me $5 for the night for table time and the drinks were normal priced (double of decent scotch was just under 10). People seem friendly, shot for a while with someone there. A lot of league players and seems Meucci is the cue of the house, quite a few players there had one. The internet reviews mention the service as being bad but I think they just got what they deserved and likely had attitudes towards the workers, I had no issues chatting and getting to know the bar staff.

If anyone is by Indy it's a nice place to head to. I would go there over Brickyard which is tight on space.
