Info about Orchid cue having real inlays, or overlays / decals?

I have read that Orchid cues were made by Falcon (a cue company from Canada).

I am curious if the Orchid cue in the pictures that I provided was made in Canada, and if it has real inlays, or painted overlays (or decals)?

I am also curious if anyone thinks that Orchid cues are decent hitting (maybe comparable to the hit of Falcon cues)?

Thanks for any help, or opinions about the cue in the pictures (or opinions about Orchid cues in general).

Thanks. I am really more concerned about how the cue (or the Orchid cues in general) plays. I really just want to find a very cheap cue that hits better than an off the wall house cue. I do not have much money, so I am only interested in it because it can be purchased for very cheap. I have played with Falcon cues in the past, and I liked the way they hit. I just thought that maybe the Orchid cues would have a similar hit (because they are/were made by Falcon). Thanks.

There are overlay, in my opinion.

How cheap you are looking? If you have the possibility, try McDermott cues, they are cheap and play well.

I have a older Orchid that plays well. I ended up getting a Predator shaft for it and used that combo for a few years before buying a Predator 5k4. I think they have decals on them and I always thought the older ones played quite well.

That cue is an overlay cue for sure.

Older orchids can be decent quality and can play OK, but it is generally hit or miss. That one is, I believe a Taiwan import. Not one of the better orchids.

I have one pretty old Orchid. Figured maple, real splice, real veneers, plays nicely, in pristine condition.

I wouldn't chase after the cue you picture for any reason other than a cue for a kid to abuse or something.

Thank you very much for the helpful info. Do you (or anyone else here) have any opinions about the McDermott Lucky brand cues? I can pick one of them up for $39 shipped (one of the completely plain looking ones). Are they decent hitting cues? I guess that maybe I should start a new thread for this question. I just want to find a decent hitting cue for very cheap (for now, until I have the money for something better). Thanks.
