Info on SouthWest cues.

Hello,

Did you know that Leonardo Da Vinci basically invented the pool cue? There are a few pics of his "cue" in one of his notebooks. Pretty interesting, indeed. The cue looks very close to the present SouthWest. I'll post some pics when I get some free time.

1850's and earlier some of the cues or Mace's as they were called had square butts.they used ivory or bone ferrules or just the wood itself on the shaft to mount a leather tip.not all cues then had a bumper or noise reducer as they were called.just some trivia.
