What's a fair price for a insert change with phenolic housing on a predator quick release shaft? It's the first one I have done like this I don't want to overcharge or undercharge.

It doesn't matter what anyone else charges.
What matter's is if,
You can do it professionally and the shaft spins true, if it was true to begin with.
Then charge what you feel is good for your time and quality!

The cue is a bk3 so it has a carbon end at the joint. I thought he had the older ones that are wood. Anything much different from the wood ones I should watch out for?
