insert for a scorpion shaft ?

Yeah, now that I think about it, I bet It is for a Bender like Dick mentioned. besides the cuetec and scorpion that's the only other cue I have found any info on in searches that's in the general range of the same thread pattern. There may be others, but that's the only one I ran accross in a few quick searches that I made the other day.

I believe the Sigel import cue might use the same thread, though it has a funny quick release...the thread portion is at the end, and the pin is smooth close to the joint.
