Inside Pool Magazine,,,???

Inside pool

I bought a 3 yr subscription at the 2009 Us Open and received exactly 1 magazine from them. Kept getting answering machine when I called, chalked it Up to another bad investment!! Streaming huh, hope it woks out for him must make a killing at these events, with these pro players not finishing matches and all because they have other things to do!! Gotta love this sport!!

Just my little rant!!

Speaking of InsidePool and J.R. streaming events, J.R. usually posts the recorded matches to the InsidePool YouTube page within a week or so of the event concluding. So far he has yet to post the videos of this years SBE.

If I had been a sponsor or an advertiser on the SBE event I would be getting a little annoyed by now that he hasn't posted the matches to YouTube. The videos get far more exposure on YouTube than they do as live events, so the Sponsors and Advertisers also get far more exposure once the videos are uploaded to YouTube. Hopefully when and if he ever does load the videos, he doesn't pull that Pay-per-View nonsense.

If Streaming is the direction J.R. wants to go with InsidePool, I would suggest keeping Alvin off the Mic. and get him an assistant, Alvin is very good with the technical part of it, setting up the cameras, lights, computers, & the stream etc... but to me he just doesn't have what it takes to be behind the Mic., also by the last day of the event he gets so tired from lack of sleep that he starts getting really goofy.

Hey Thecutshot, I bust my ass for pool for nothing. What do you do for pool ???????? Exactly.
I sleep in cars, garages, on pool tables in offices , to do the streams. 32 hours straight at SBE this year working by myself. Did you see the stream? How did it look? Smooth? Were you entertained by the effort? Did you say thanks? NO. Just complain about my hosting ability. Could you do what I do? Doubt it. Many people appriciate what I do and compliment me for my commentating you are allowed your opinion but it is not unbiased.
It takes alot to get me to post on AZ. I try not to cloud up the forums with my words. I let my actions speak. I did have to comment here . What the hell exactly do you do to bring Pool into the new era anyway?? Can you hire a pro commentator to sit there 24 hours a day. We do 12 or 13 matches in a row some days. Ill take your advice and continue learning the hosting trade. I do it because there is no one else to do it. I usually do not even say my own name on the matches. Im all you got. The stream is running dry because of haters like you . Most of the flack directed in comments at me is because I engage the chat(you) am interested in them(YOU) and talk about what they/YOU want to talk about. Actually many of the people reading this are probably my friends there and add to the commentary via chat. Also, solo commentating happens sometimes. Do you think I am a completely sane individual being a live streamer, and can be spot on Billy I all day and night non stop? Ha . None of us band of streamers can be on all the time. Its for the love of the sport and our pool family why we do this odd job. What can you do to help? The champions of the tournaments walk away with the money not us as streamers. Trust me I know I was on the team who birthed the live pool stream. I was there second 1 when the idea was spit out. I want all of the pool family to join me commentating but all there is just an empty room and me. Il refrain from bringing up our past cutshot, but your opinions about IP and me are not from an unbiased observer status.....So.....as professionally as I can, I want to offer this video to you....

This was an awesome reply Alvin. I really enjoy your commentating actually. That is why I googled you on AZbilliards. You are a super hilarious, chill dude, and I love it when you're on commentating. The fact you are chill and not completely "professional" (boring) is so well suited to the fact that these are informal streams made at great sacrifice by you and your team for us to enjoy as nice little treats. I love these matches, I love your commentating, I love your effort, and everything you've done for pool. You are the man. Please keep talking to us.

*edit* Sorry, didn't realize this was a 3 month old zombied thread.

CUE magazine in Japan is still really high quality with a lot of good content and news, but maybe its just due to the fact not many people in Japan (compared to the US) are competent with computers and reading long articles on cell phones just isn't very efficient. I always thought CUE could do well in the US if they just made a direct translation and sent it over there every month.
