Instroke cases now shipping with cheaper pocket clasps?

I'm on my second Instroke 3x7 Premier black case. The first one I had lasted a long time and didn't have any issues with the male turning part of the pocket clasp (stayed put keeping pocket closed when intended, not flimsy). The second one I got seems to have a much more flimsy turning part of the clasp and the pocket come undone at times, plus my friend that ordered the same case had his break off. Seems like the Instroke is using cheaper clasps on some / all of their production cases these days. Does anyone know if they addressed / resolved this? TIA...

I'm not sure about their clasp issues as all mine are older cases but I will say I was going to buy a case as a gift for someone and emailed them twice about 2 months ago with no reply from them. Long story short I won't be buying another Instroke case

I wonder who owns them now.. Brunswick did at one time. I have an instroke case with joss inscribed in the lid that is at least 30 years old at this point. I wouldn’t sell it for anything. It’s a storage case.

cutting costs saves money. but when it affects the product then its time for customers to move on to another as its never going to be the same quality you remember so you will never be satisfied..

even if they fix it or replace it the damage has been done.

When JB split off Instroke, there was “Instroke Germany” and JB’s “Instroke”
I don’t know if anyone bought JB’s Instroke after he started a different brand (before JB cases) or if he just closed it.

One of the reasons they split was that the company wanted to cut corners in his design. I guess what you have there is probably from the German company.

I love the Instroke interior, I think it’s the best protection while keeping the case functional.
Everything on the out side is outdated for today’s players needs.

I still have the first Predator case that JB and his Instroke produced for Predator, my favorite case. I wish there was a current similar case in 3x5 with slight adjustments.
I also have the vinyl 3x7 for storage that I got about 17 years ago, it never left the house and it’s in brand new condition, now issues with latch there
