Instroke vs Jay Flowers cue case

Have been looking for a new case and have settled on either an Instroke or a Jay Flowers tribute (both available through Seyberts). Both cases are in the same price range. I was hoping some of the members have experience with these cases and can offer their input.

Thanks in advance

I have both...I personally like my in stroke cuz I like the tube design. It's easier to put the cues away and take them out. I do believe, however, that the flowers padded inside offers more protection. I just don't know how much protection a cue really needs...I'm not playing football with my case. I like the tubes. I also have to focus when putting the cues into the flowers, so they don't scrape together while on route into the padded slots. I use my flowers tribute for storage...I really like the look of it though, but the I strokes look really nice too. Hope it helps.

If you like the Flowers style cue cases, I can custom build you a 2x4 around the same pricing as some of the leather instrokes. Check our my website, I have a pricing page listed.
Let me know
Thanks

Chuck Fields--

Looked at your website and really like your cases, especially like your tube style on the J. Flowers style cases. Will contact you about your cases.

We also build cases with tubes. However our custom work is slightly higher than the production cases.

One thing we do is to cut the tubes so that they provide extra protection up to the lip of the case but are still easy to get the cues out.

I have used an Instroke 3x5 for years and years, it's an original Instroke.
It still looks fantastic and there isn't a stitch, seam, zipper or a rivet that is coming lose.
The locks are still perfect. It holds the butts and shafts very nicely in place.
No question I'd get another Instroke if this one would just die on me already....

I tried to make them durable. :-)

Lots of people are still using theirs after 10-15-20 years at this point. Most people give up on them wearing out and just buy a new one because they want a new one.

i agree and even like the old Germany cases better. you can keep cues together in the case. the flowers are great cases for storage of cues but not in my favor for playing in tourneys and to the hall just to hard to take in and out.
