Instructional Video

I posted this Link about a week ago on the 14.1 Forum. I was thinking that maybe there are other players that might like to watch this video that do not check out the 14.1 Forum and that stay mainly on the Main Forum.
This was the second video that I ever attempted at being an instructional one. It is long from being perfect and I was a little nervous. I think that players might enjoy it and maybe bring them over to playing some 14.1 once in awhile. 14.1 will help out in recognizing patterns in 8 ball & 9 ball which will lead to taking one's game to another level.
Thanks

i found this yesterday and watched it. super job, well done and most informative. go for III.......thank you for your time and effort. i especially liked the "home feel" and down to earth presentation

Good job Mike. If you were nervous, I sure didn't notice. Hope you make more, I found it real informative. Seeing the patterns is a problem for me. It's good to see someone explain in detail how to approach the rack.

I particularly liked the comment about keeping your eye on the object ball. I have just recently realized that I tend to miss shots because I follow the cue ball. Once I realized this, I seem to be more consistent on making the shot.

Video and audio were great. Nice room!!!!!

Thanks Mike

Looks great. I could only watch the first few minutes but have it bookmarked to watch this weekend. I like how you explain everything you do and the reasons for doing it.

Mike

Keep this good stuff up and you might have to take my place in Pool School.....:-)

Good luck on your trip to the East Coast. Bring back the GOLD.

Go for Gold Mikey :-)

Liked the video, the only thing I would change is your terminology. You frequently said Center left, center draw. While I know that there is high left, low left, etc. For novice people watching I think they would be better off hearing just a tip of right or a tip of left, that designates a starting point of centerball.

With the Predator 14.1 Championships, I think this thread deserves a bump

With the Predator 14.1 Championships currently going on this week, and the attention/focus given to the players playing in it, I think this thread deserves a bump -- for those wanting to learn 14.1 straight pool.

Mike Grosso makes a TERRIFIC video here, verbally telestrating his thought processes as he runs multiple racks. He also presents his reasons why he chooses various shots over others, and this information, IMHO, is invaluable to those learning how to play this wonderful game at its highest level.

Enjoy!

I agree. Many thanks to the OP for posting the link

And Sean wins his bet for increasing the number of hits on Wikipedia's 'telestrator' entry to levels never before seen...
