for those of you that like to skim i've bolded the most important parts so it'll be easy to get the jist of what i'm saying/asking
since i can't manage to sell the mezz that i've got posted for sale and i don't really want to anyway a friend of mine suggested i get in contact with a cue maker and have one of them make me a high quality maple shaft and just go back to using my mezz only. i've talked to 1 cue maker so far and he said he can do it but he's kind of busy and it's could take a month or so for him to have time to start a shaft for me. i was hoping someone on here could recommend me a cue maker that can make me a high quality maple shaft (no high tech stuff) that will fit my mezz. mezz uses a different type of 5/16-14 joint/pin. not to worry though i have an extra mezz shaft with the united joint that's warped beyond use so i figure a swap could be done to get the new shaft to match the mezz joint
anyway i'm looking for a good stiff hitting shaft that's 12.85 ish. in order to not change the balance of the cue i'd prefer the shaft to weigh 4.2-4.27oz.
i'd like to stay with the min-max price range of $0 (some cue maker decides he wants a chump player representing his equipment. i'd sew the patch onto my case) or $125. i know for a fact that i love masonh and andy gilberts taper but if anyone else had a shaft taper they considered comparable and wouldn't mind making me a shaft i'd be happy to try something different.
if you guys can point me in the right direction or help me yourselves i'd really appreciate it!
thanks in advanced (i think)
