So here's the deal. I was thinking about this. Say your under a 600 Fargo or so on a bar table and you want to play 8 ball against a 800 + Fargo player like old Sky.
Could you win in a alternate break format with you getting the wild 8 in 8 ball.
You have solids and stripes and can make any ball on the table including your opponents choice during your inning to continue, but you also have to make the wild 8 at any time to win. On your break you also have to make a ball to continue but your opponent has to play open break solids or stripes like in a normal game. I think you loose.

A pro wouldn't even give that spot to a C player. Sure they can beat them but there time has to be worth something. 🤷‍♂️

I don’t get it. Play any ball until you shoot the 8-ball?

Do you gamble? How much do you think I lose? I weigh in under 600.

Success depends on your break. You will win almost all the racks you stay at the table. A 600 should be almost a lock, 500 even has a shot at it

Yes. Sorry, but I was coming out if sedation when I posted this so it was a more interesting thought at the time....lol. Still if you tweek it a little to a winner breaks format instead of alternate break.... It kinda comes from knowing the old deal that it doesn't matter what he spots you, you can't win. Watching all these guys put together big packages on bar tables you got to wonder if you are the dog or the fox with even a huge spot like this.

its a sucker game that the weaker player wont win and shows how few here can handicap games and understand a players speed and what he can do.

You are probably right, but I am a weaker player, and just can't see it. When the better player breaks dry, I'm out, 9 times out of ten. If I make a ball on the break, I'm out, 9 times out of ten. Looks good to me, guess I'm just a sucker, so lick me.
