This must be from the pre-BCA/ACS split. The BCA is now a for-profit organization and the ACS is not-for-profit.

Not quite.

The BCA is a non-profit organization, always has been. The BCA did indeed make a profit from their pool league, as they did on most all of their ventures.

The BCA Play Pool League is privately owned (Mark Griffin), possibly for profit. I hope that this organization makes lots of money so they can continue to invest it back into the players.....SPF=randyg
