Mike and Renee Sigel is a very good friend of mine and I am not complaining... This is just info as it states. PERIOD!

Okay, my question is, did Sigel and LLJ cash their checks without a problem? Did they get paid? Does anyone know?

i dont know but kevin and mike have been good friends for 15+ yrs and is reportedly worth 2.1 billion....????.... go figger how mike got picked ? i guess it is in who you know... or ....

Sigel got cash, although some will say he didn't get the full 150,000 :rolleyes: No reason to think otherwise, the guy has plenty, not billions but plenty.

Kevin has made amends for the CC card fraud, admitted it was a mistake and has even admitted it on the IPT web site that he pled guilty to several felonies when he was young and served time in federal prison, so it's not something he is hiding. People make mistakes even people we may hold in high regard. I know some fine people who made mistakes or did something stupid when they were young.

The majority of business have skeletons in the closet and some of our top CEO's have had checkered past, heck Martha Stewart went to jail and is more famous now then ever and has a new show on NBC. She may claim she didn't know anything, but she certainly sold that stock knowing it was going in the crapper while small investors got stuck she got out.

This is all past talk, He will hold a tournament in December and there will be tournaments for the next year or two, I have all the faith in the world that will happen, after that, who knows, it's all a risk like anything else.

Yes they both got paid IN FULL.The cash, was as always at a casino, for show.
I have known Kevin for about 15 years also. Kevin, many years back ordered a $25,000.00 cue from me. Paid like clock work.
He's an ok guy in my books.
What he's doing for pool world wide is way out there. He's putting up millions for pool players of today and tomorrow, bringing attention to out sport so the corprate world get involved.This is the best thing that has ever come about for us.
Go Kevin, go.

BTW, you can all thank Mike for this coming about. He and Kevin are the best of friends. So what if Mike got picked before anyone else. He's made a gaint step for pool, and got a person who has plenty of cash to get it rolling, and not only like's doing it, he's proud to do it. Hey, just sit back and enjoy the ride. Don't complain who got there first. It will be good for all of us.
Why not just leave him alone. Let him do his thing.

I don't think people are having problems with Mike and LJJ getting picked to play. I think people are having problem with them being picked to play for the "World 8 Ball Championships" when there are probably lots of other people more qualified at the moment. Anyways, it's a marketing ploid.

Was this match for the world championship? If it were then it's getting like boxing where has beens who haven't competed in years can fight for the title. The crowd sits there and says,,,what a joke and I paid to watch this...Maybe the next time my sister can play for the title. Mike sigel saying he will only play again if the money was there,,his buddy should have just handed him the cash under a table at a billiard trade show where he sells those beautiful cues with his name on it ;) I am sure he sells many. I heard Willie mosconi wants to play for the title , they should give him a shot he can use the cash. :) Pool will always have that dark side ..I dont care who played in Vegas. Do they think for the next 8 ball world title they are going to pack the superdome full of fans? Hurry call Willie and Ralph Greenleaf,, OH!! and Fats also he is a great ambassador for the game.

Maybe I'm going off on a tangent here ... we know a fair amount of the dirt on Trudeau, and it's probably not outrageous compared to what you'd find among the kitchen or wait staff of a decent-sized restaurant (though the money figures are kinda high), BUT considering this guy has been hanging around Sigel for 15 years and has bought at least one 25G cue, DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW THIS GUY ACTUALLY PLAYS? Just wondering ... another picture of the puzzle.

logic would say if it was really the " 8 ball world championship " who comes to mind? is that in history or current players?

it wasnt called battle of the selected hall of famers was it ?

if it were to be a true battle of the sexes i would think jean, or allison would be the 1 and 2 choices, but maybee they turned down the free money?

i never said anything bad about the choices, they are 2 very accomplished players as are many others, but as you pointed out it had some thing to do with friends.

please believe me i wish it all the best, i think it would be awesome to get everyone together and get billiards the respsect it once had.
 
All I want to know is...where was the scam, con, thievery, or crookedness in THIS venue. Who got hurt and what did it do to hurt the promotion of pool?
