Probably the same way glass around hockey rinks handle pucks that smack into them going 80mph. So, pretty well with the occasional shatter

I'd be more curious about english/spin of the cue ball.

I imagine it plays fast, even moreso than slate without cloth.
Dealing with the distractions such as glare, and ability to see thru to the floor would definitely take some getting used to. Cool concept nonetheless.
