International Open 2025

fair to say the commentary had issues

having said that, and not seeking to be a Sigel apologist but he is in fact the man,
let him speak, follow his lead, and acquiesce as required

one of the single greatest players in pool history,
his energy is awesome, most guys his age from this game are half senile

he was picking up on subtle points that none of his partners could see,
technical knowledge second to none

hearing that cuemaker trying to one up Mike was cringe

He is an insufferable narcissist.

Incredible to see Yapp win this event for the third year in a row. Just incredible. He played as well as he's played all year.

The Yapp-Sky match was one of the best I've seen in 2025. Hardly any missed balls. Both players playing at the highest level possible.

Sky made two costly positional errors. One was bad luck, but the other was his fault. With so little room for error, it was enough for Yapp to take the match.

Still, it was great to see Woodward in top form. His talent level is super high, it really is, but he's got to keep putting in the work.

Still trying to figure out how Gorst lost ...

Nice win by Lukas over He. One of his biggest wins to date, though He has slipped a good deal this year.

Fleming should have just cut it back to 8 players like last year when he saw the low interest.
newp.... We had our dates... Ultimate stepped on them pulled SVB and others that usually played... Pat was not aware of their event or how it would impact the fields but it did... We were lucky a few guys were willing to blow $500 JUST so they could make a memory.... The guys mocking them likely don't understand that... But they likely wouldn't understand those guys...

The Biado v Yapp 10 ball was a hell of a match. Here are a few photos. Those banquet chairs and staring into the 7 lights above the table are tough to fade for hours on end.

Thanks Joe.... No one has mentioned the lights from a viewers perspective since we swapped from the halogens... I think we might be able to use some drape going forward to keep the VIPs from going blind... I added it to my list of things to address going forward....
