here's the problem i've had ...
you cant hand carry your cue any more and when you check in your cue in one of those cue bags, they inevitably need to be checked separately as oversized luggage...
so since i am travelling to the States in Nov. i bought one of these...

you can fit a 1 x 2 case perfectly ...
