Yeah template racks basically ate the fancy triangle market. Once rooms saw how tight a Delta 13 or Magic Rack got the balls, nobody wanted to pay for a diamond shaped chunk of wood that just approximates a good rack. Bar owners especially went all in since it cuts down on arguments about a bad break setup.so I got to watch a video on facebook and apparently you push those little knobs in to get a perfect tight rack all the time. Maybe a good idea except THEY WANT $500 FOR IT!!!! That’s a no for me space ranger

Only place I still see the old school triangles is on brand new table packages where it's just tossed in as a freebie, and even then a lot of guys buy a template rack same week. Kind of like you said, Amazon didn't kill every mom and pop shop but it killed the ones with no real reason to exist. Cheap triangle rack has no reason to exist anymore when a template rack is 20 bucks and does the job better.
