iPhone bracket to attach to table light

Anyone have experience attaching a phone to a table light to get the birds eye view? Just downloaded the new rail bird app and want to set up to record my sessions. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It’s in beta testing right now. You download the app from their website. They give you instructions, but for iPhone, you have to download the test flight app. It’s pretty easy. Here is the link: https://railbird.ai/

What light were you targeting? I think you could 3D print a bracket to use a standard iphone mount. Shouldn't be too difficult but might not be universal for all tables.

Wanted to ask what phone you are using. I found an inexpensive clamp to use (tzumi Power Mount Plus…Home Deport) but my iPhone only offers a .5x magnification which does not cover the entire 9’ table area. Our goal would be to mount a fixed camcorder inside the table light, which is approximately 4ft from the table surface…..but I haven’t found what size lens is needed to cover the area, without distortion.

Would love to hear if anyone has implemented such a setup successfully.

Before you do anything like that I suggest to ask the owner. We had a couple of guys that tried to do that and the owner wasn't pleased.

At least you are thoughtful with a bird's eye view. Some people just set up a stand without asking the people on the next table if it was ok.
