(Chicago, IL) The International Pool Tour announces that tickets for the “King of the Hill” Invitational 8-Ball Shootout will go on sale Friday October 21st, 2005 at 10am (CST). Tickets can be purchased Friday by telephone or on the International Pool Tour web site. The ticket line telephone number and online ticket sales information will be posted on www.internationalpooltour.com Friday morning. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly for this historic and unprecedented pocket-billiard event.

Ticket information is as follows:

Main Tournament - Tickets good for all rounds November 30th - December 3rd, 2005. Doors for the main tournament will open at 9am all days.

General Admission - $35
V.I.P. - $75
Final Match - Doors open at 2pm, Sunday December 4th, 2005. Final match begins at 3pm.

General Admission - $35
V.I.P. - $75
Important - There will be no tickets sold at the door, and absolutely no exceptions. At the challenge match between Loree Jon Jones and Mike Sigel, at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas, hundreds of people who did not purchase tickets in advance were turned away at the door. There were also VIPs at some of the Las Vegas hotels whose concierges could not secure tickets on the day of the event.

There is very limited seating for this event and it is suggested that fans purchase tickets early. All tickets will be held at the will-call desk in the event lobby at the Orange County Convention Center’s West Concourse.

Very best regards,

Does the general admission ticket get you in all three days? Or just one?

How long will play go on the first three days?

How many tables will you be using?

Hi Deno,

Do the players that come (or their spouses) for the mandatory meeting need to buy tickets too?

Linda

Will the players that were invited to play in the event be granted a player pass for their wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend? There are quite a few spouses & significant others that either lurk or post on here regularly. I'm sure they would be interested to know if they need to purchase a ticket or if the players will be provided a pass for them. If this has been discussed elsewhere or is on the website, I apologize. I haven't researched this so I could've missed it. It's just something that came to mind when I read this post.

Thank you

Linda,

You should have received an email regarding your questions. Let me know if you did not receive the email that was sent to the players.

Deno

The players have been contacted regarding their own tickets and tickets for friends and family.

There are two ticketed sessions- the tournament itself and the final match. A general admission ticket for the tournament itself will grant the holder admission on all days starting November 30th through December 3rd. A general admission ticket for the final match will get a seat for the final match only on December 4th. Same goes for VIP seating for both session types.

Since the play is round robin, there will be play from morning till late night. We will be using 15 tables for the tournament itself, and I don't think there will be bad match on any of them, in any round, because of the high level of competition.
