IPT Chalk - How good is it?

The IPT has its own chalk, and it will be used at EVERY IPT event. It says
it grips better for fewer miscues, and the IPT website is selling a gross (144 pieces) for $27.95, which is very reasonable considering that Master's sell for $3 a box (12 pieces), so the IPT chalk is $8 cheaper per gross.

Heck, you could buy a gross, then sell them for .50-$1 a cube.

I would like to hear from those who have used it. Is it good chalk? How does it compare to Master's dark blue?

Chalk is very messy! Master Chalk is the best i think.

Im an avid fan of Blue Master. I would love to know how the IPT chalk is compaired to this.

as an ipt member i tried the chalk at the king of the hill, and it seemed to be master chalk with an ipt label over it, however, they might have just invented chalk for the ipt, and THAT may be different chalk, i'm sure it's gonna be tops in taps!

I also

had heard it was Master chalk with the IPT label on it. Does anyone have a piece of it? And does it have 'Tweeten' on it anywhere? On the website, they seem to indicate it is a very 'fine' chalk.

IPT chalk

I used it at the DCC and Hardtimes qualifier and loved it. I exclusively use Blue Diamond 3 cushion billiard chalk in my tournament play. But seeing how well the IPT chalk held to my tip, I continued to use it and did not miscue a single time. Perhaps it is Master's, I don't know, but that was the best Master's I've ever tried. The IPT is going to have a booth at VF. I think Im going to pick up a hat and a case while I am there, rather then paying for shipping again.

I don't care much for the hat. It looks like some law enforcement hat - "IPT" instead of "FBI" :D

But I guess it's cheaper to make, stitching-wise, than the green/black/white logo. *shrug*

Hey Scott,
Please compare apples to apples!

I use "Lamar" chalk!
Under the rewrap you will find Masters Black!
"The best of the best".

Now back to apples & plums,
You can buy a soda from a vending machine for $1 or maybe $0.75. Several chain's (in my area) have offered 12 packs for as little as $2.50

It appears to me we should go into the vending world.

It just struck me ...

That some players or pool people that aren't internet savvy, but have heard on the IPT might want some IPT chalk. The IPT hat, BTW, has their slogan on the back of the cap, real moeny, real rules, etc.. Yeah, it might have been better to put an 8 ball on the hat along with the end of a cue
being chalked with IPT chalk for promotion's sake.... lol
Lamar ... Yeah, some places get away with murder for what they charge for POP. I went to a big garden show here with my brother and Mom,
and Pop was 2.75 for a small. The garden show was fantastic, BTW, with elaborate displays, including small mountains, running creeks, alive with beautiful greenery, live entertainment.

It does not say anything on the chalk. It has a black label with the green logo and IPT on it and that is it. It seems grittier than Master chalk, not that soft feel when you chalk your cue. It is exactly the same color though.
