IPT compared to UPA

Okay I said UPA but substitute any tour that you are familiar with instead.

I would like someone to compare the IPA to any tour and tell me which has been more beneficial to the players? Which tour has made more money for the players? Which tour has been more beneficial to the dealers? Which tour has made more money for the dealers?

Finally, which tour has been more beneficial to the fans?

Would you rather be working for Ford right now? They get paid $69 an hour (according to the newscast last night). Unfortunately none of the employees know if they will have a job when they get to work on Monday. A lot of them already know that they are fired.

Or perhaps you would rather work for Radio Shack where the employees received an e-mail notifying them they were fired.

So the pool players put up 2K, 5K or 10K to really win some big money. Not working hard like Breedlove does, but just enjoying themselves playing a game called pool. Those players who have received their checks from the IPT since it started are way ahead of the game. They have made a lot more money with the IPT then they would have playing in all the penny ante pool tournaments where the only winner is - well actually there is no winner other than the person who comes in 1st.

I suppose next week the players will start receiving their paychecks and then the list of players ahead of the game will grow.

The really big mistake that Kevin Trudeau made is not realizing what a bunch of stupid, ungrateful SOB's pool players in general are. It is always about me, me, me. What will you give me. When will I get something. Never about what can I do for you.

Such is life.

Now where is that popcorn? I think I will watch another fine pool match on the IPT website.

Have a great life all you losers.

The IPT as it is now is nothing more then a benefit for the players and not even close to being self-supporting. I don't know anybody who would be planing their life around that kind of lack of security. You must be nuts if you think this thing can continue non self supporting. There is nothing about it that a player can depend on, you call that a good job? I think you have been breathing too much of that formaldehyde used to build your trailer.

I think I might employ a few guys to help me with some web design, just wondered if it was ok for me to use the above quote on them if they have the nerve to question me when I don't pay them? Is that ok mate, I gave them a job damn it - the selfish little b4stards!

Actually, it's true. The one thing Kevin asked the players to do is to get out there and promote the IPT. I have seen very little of this on the local level. Not once have I seen any IPT players going out to the pool rooms on their own to drum up interest in the IPT.

I watched a special on the American Women's Soccer Team. When they had the 1999 Women's World Cup in America they were told that no one would come out to watch women's soccer. For months and months before the opening game in Giants stadium the American Women's team went to countless places to sell tickets and promote the World Cup. They put more people in Giants stadium than the Giants did. And they sold out every game in every stadium including the finals in the Rose Bowl.

So far I think the IPT has failed to provide the leadership for the players to go out and do the kind of grassroots promotion. I say this because the players themselves have been given very little to sell. They have been as in the dark as the rest of us.

Well, enough b-i-t-c-h-i-n-g. Enjoy your Saturday. Hope the checks arrive soon.

Don't you realize that you said that the Women did the promotions. Women always put forth more effort then the men. Its always been that way. Women have to work twice as hard to get half the credit. Maybe women ought to be hired to promote the IPT

Maybe you're right. Maybe Oprah ought to sponsor the pool players. I guess the lesson is that those who feel that all they have to do is show up and play will always only get the little bit that those who are doing the promotion work decide to give them. Those that work for the betterment of their livelihood have a better income and job security.
