Both Reyes and Bustamante who admitted that they found it hard to cope with the brutal physical demands of the IPT Tour event in Las Vegas and collapsed down the stretch because they were getting on in years said they didn't want to take any chances in the World Cup of Pool because they had been invited to represent the Philippines, not themselves. The format will also be demanding with 31 matches taking place over six action-packed days with both afternoon and evening sessions.

Think that you can maybe take that with a rather large pinch of salt Nostroke.They made that comment in the context of making excuses for pulling out of The Phillipines National 9 Ball Championships running 15-20 August.

A sceptic would conclude that the fact that they were now committed instead to play in a much more potentially lucrative team event in Wales which starts on 22 August and for which they have promotional commitments starting on the 18 August would have inevitably meant they would have had to withdraw from The Phillipines event whether or not they'd played IPT

I wouldn't go reading too much into their alleged difficulties in coping with IPT schedules nor write them off any potential winners lists just yet

Yes, they were getting on in years, no doubt.But is it time yet for them to lose their automatic seedings in big events?Like go to the qualifiers?
