Most of you guys know that I very seldom post so you probably could care less about what I have to say...but I am gonna say a few things anyway.

1. If you want to know some information about the IPT...ask opinions of people who know...such as players. See what they think.

2. Stop all the speculating...it will do know good. We all need to just sit back and see what happens. All the crying is only going to do harm. Let the players work it out with the tour.

3. The only people who should ever complain about the tour are those people involved. (see #4)

4. If the players get burned in this tour...it is their own fault. Im sorry to say it, but its the truth. They are the ones who put all their eggs in the basket of a convicted con man...thats not speculation, thats the truth. There are court documents to prove this. (Would you go to work for someone who has been convicted of fraud?)

5. I dont pretend to know anything about the IPT, therefore I post nothing about it and say nothing about it...good or bad. I know what I "think", but I also know that I really know nothing.

6. If you plan on voicing your opinion and you have no facts...please let everyone know that what you are saying is speculation. You have the right to do so. I believe that it will only hurt the pool community, but it is your right.

Sorry to be a downer, but I get sick of seeing "some" people post on topics that they know nothing about. I have my own personal opinions about what I think the IPT tour is and what I think it will become. As a teacher of economics, I truly feel like I can make a pretty good guess. But, I have no facts so I keep my mouth shut. I prefer to let Keith, Colin, Linda, Danny, ect... tell us about the IPT. They are very credible sources. It is tough wading through peoples opinions.

By all means post on the topics, but dont try to sell me on your opinions if you have no facts. We can make some headway on this issue if we will stay with what we "know" not what we "think."
 
For me you don't have to have 1,000+ posts to be creditable.

I am sorry people like to speculate, or make statement out of speculation.

But, this is a message board where many post under anomalously, and you really have to take everything with a grain of salt.
 
Bomber you are asking that fans stop behaving like fans. This kind of talk amongst fans is very common in all sports, it's great to see it in pool ! To expect that pool fans will cease and desist is rediculous, and to ask is simply a waste of breath, imo.

Then your statement "Stop all the speculating" has me confused. That statement is a lot stronger than the message above.

Dave, who knows that criticism can be healthy, if it's on point and understood, but also that many cannot take any criticism whatsoever

You stated your opinion and I commend you for that. I also do agree with a lot that you said. Figured I would let you know that someone is on your side. (oh, btw, i'm not taking sides)

It's like asking Saskatchewan roughrider fans not to speculate if the Eskimos won't make the playoffs for the first time since anybody can remember.
 
What??????????? are you telling me this thread has absolutely nothing to do with the tours ventilation system???

PS, didn't Hamilton beat them the other day ? I guess having Ronnie Lancaster at the helm was too much for those ice-cold Eskimos :)

PPS You should have heard all the badmounting of Roughrider management before they let Shivers go, those pesky fans were full of speculation and were quite vocal !

I think the green and gold are going to be getting a new coach real soon. I'd be suprised if the current one makes it to the end of the season.

So are the fans in Edmonton engaging in any speculation ? Have there been sports-editorials talking negatively about the Eskimo coaching and/or management ? I'd bet there is lots of talk, as is typical of fans.

Hey greenone, this is will be the first time in many years that they will miss the playoffs, you've had a great run. Take it from a Roughrider fan, life goes on :eek:
