Irregular grained hardwoods/cue construction

Hello. In a previous post there was link to a pic of a birds eye forearm split, and broken,(proficient billiards I believe).

My question is ..If a wood has so much irregularity, and non uniformity as well as litte pits, eyes. Could this affect how a cue responds to the recoil of hitting a cueball? I know this is probably too subtle of a differance in hit.Does a irradic non parallel grain affect how a cue acts? Do all different types of wood, glues, and connections hinder the energy of the hit?
What about a single piece of perfectly strait hard rock maple with no points or splicing for a butt and a grade AAAshaft(preferance joint).Would this physics wise be a more natural instrument to hit with all the same density, and uniformity and no glue in the butt-end? I know a decorative cue is beautiful to look at though.

tad kohara has always been of the opinion that because birdseye is essentially a disease of the wood, that too much birdseye figuring is not a good thing.

otoh, the other top gun cuemakers use highly figured birdseye,,,,,, so go figure.

Hey Bruin 70, How have you been. good I hope. Haven't heard from you for a while........

I also agree with Mr. Kohara. If I use a highly figured birdseye, piece, I will always bore it out and plug it, with hard rock straight grain maple.

My first expensive cue was a TAD...which cost me $65 !!! ...new!
(oughta tell you how old I am)...
All of my friends at the time said "What are YOU doing with a TAD?"
nice plain birds eye cue...
I had it for quite a few years. Beat all of my friends with it!
Great cue!
