Considering that the seller has never sold another item on ebay, I would steer clear of this deal. Even if it was the real "Minnesota Fats" signature, I do not know that it would be worth much.

I could not imagine it being worth that! I am sure the seller is even surprised at the bidding :D

here's the bidding history, flipside has a history of one transaction and is probably working together with putt-putt, either of which is the owner of the item. whenever i see someone with little or no history of transactions bidding something up, i just stay clear. it will be offered again soon enough, using this sale as a base price.

btw- fats autographs are valuable since he could barely write his name, and almost always used a rubber stamp when asked for an autograph. they usually go for $500. or so.this one seems a little wordy for fats, so i would stay away without some authentication.
my opinion, stay far far away from this.

Its totally bogus....I just took a closer look.

The putt-putt guy is legit, I buy a lot on ebay and have seen him buy many pool items and they dont come back up for sale after he wins.

The Seller however is new with 0 feedback and is from Winchester TN
Flipside (current high bidder) just so happens to be from Winchester TN

I think you guys can figure the rest out.....

Yeah, I did a little bit of digging and caught that as well...

The signature could be authentic.. I say this because the writing is very shakey and squigly which could be three things.. written by a senior citizen, someone that cannot write well or a Dr,s writing! Take your pick. Btw.. the auto auction and date looks like someone elses writing.

Autograph

Just some info,I have a book that fats wrote, paper back that was signed by him and not rubber stamped.Pat hefferon sold it to me and it was his neighbors who got it signed at the grand opening of a montgomery wards.Interesting thing is I just compared the signiture on the cue and the one I have on the inside flap of this book and they are extremly close! The f in fats is almost exact and the s at the end is the same.the other letters are within a hair of the same so whats the odds of that!I think some of you may know Pat hefferon,he does alot of business on ebay.I also have over 200 plus feedbacks and collect unusual autographs that the odds of a machine doing are slim to none,a paul newman on a flight menu from the flight attendant who got it,newman on a cue ball with a polariod of him signing it,etc.
