Is Giuseppe Cases Still In Business? - (Re: Problem)

I ordered a Giuseppe case from a dealer more than a month ago which they had to order. They promised the case in 2-3 weeks. The dealer who is not the best with communication claims Giuseppe has not returned their calls. I took it upon myself to contact Giuseppe directly and only get a recording. After a week, my message hasn't been returned.

I see their cases everywhere so I assume they are still in business, but not returning anyone's calls make me wonder whether they are having issues of some sort.

Does anyone know anything about their current situation?

I'm sure they are still in business, but if they're not taking orders...... the 4-cases I have will probably double or triple in value.
My Giuseppe collection could be worth upwards to $300 if I capture the pics correctly, maybe more.

Incommunicado

This is the note I received from the dealer from whom I ordered the case:

"We've called the manufacturer and emailed him everyday asking for status updates for you and another customer who ordered around the same time as you and we can't get an answer. He makes a beautiful case but communication is not his strong suit. I apologize that we couldn't get the case to you in a timely manner but unfortunately our hands are tied when we can't get a hold of the manufacturer."

Strange way to do business in my opinion.

I do business with Joe on a regular basis. Sometimes he is slow and hard to get a hold of. I usually call in the afternoon, which seems like the best time to reach him.Try calling him around around 3-4pm Pacific Time.

Thanks, but.....

Thanks for the suggestion, but it is now a moot point. I waited one more week after placing my call to him and leaving a message hoping either he would either call me, call the dealer, or preferably, just ship my case. I needed the Giuseppe case I ordered and couldn't wait any longer, so I ended-up spending more money on a different brand case.

I can accept slow, but I can't accept being ignored.

I fail to understand how someone in business can have a total lack of communication with their customers and dealers. It has been more than 10 days that he has not returned calls either to me nor the dealer. The dealer is apparently as frustrated with him as I was.

Just Maybe

There have been several threads about cue makers working on "CUE MAKERS TIME".

Just maybe he has the same clock.

I tried to do business with this guy once. Talked on the phone once. I had a few things to think about. Was never able to reach him again. I brought up the lack of communication with him at a following trade show. He had no excuse.

All I needed to know.

I never understand vendors (sellers) that I must chase to give them money. Perhaps trying to create a demand by being incommunicato? Sorry, there is no product so good that you needn't provide service. There is plenty of competition out there.
