Was watching a pool tournament on TV. There was a ad for Cuetech cues. In the ad they said buy a Cuetech and learn the secret why Earl and Allison use Cuetech cues.

Do you think it is really necessary to buy the cue to know that they are getting paid to use them?

After you buy one will there be a note with it saying that the secret is they get paid to use them?

Ads get dumber every day. Another is the Spider ad. Janette says "See what the pros see."

It's called "Marketing". It doesn't have to make sense, it only has to sell product. And if great players like Ms. Fisher and Mr. Strickland are able to pursue their careers with the financial support it provides then more power to them. At least they are not marketing cigarettes like the Camel Pro tour used to.
